Twitter and RSS now live on Loopthing

After a lot of hard work over the last few days our new features are now up and running. As we first announced last Friday we have been working on integrating a number of new features that we feel will add great value to the user experience on Loopthing.
The new features that we have added are focused around the business profiles and the business networks.
On the business profiles you will notice a new tab on each page. The ‘News Feed’ tab is designed with the knowledge in mind that the internet is a large place, with many different websites and sources of information. The News Feed tab allows business users to syndicate news from multiple Twitter accounts and RSS Feeds.What is RSS?
By providing your Twitter page to the News Feed tab you can automatically have all of your Tweets added to your Loopthing business profile page. We believe it’s going to be a great resource for keeping people up to date with what you are saying. You can also add other Twitter accounts to your business profile if you wish and keep updating your page from multiple resources.
The RSS feeds are the other big new feature of the News Feeds tab. Like the Twitter account, you can add multiple RSS feeds to your business profile and have a constant stream of valuable information being added to your page. A blog is a great RSS that you can add to this area. Every blog has an RSS feed so simply add it and keep people up to date with all your blog posts.
The second area that we have focused on is the networks area. We felt that it was important that members of networks have as good and experience as possible and that they be able to interact and share information with one another in a simple, straight forward format. As a result we have added two new features to the networks, namely ‘Media Files‘ and ‘Files Repository‘. Those of you that have seen the business pages will already be familiar with these features, but now they are network specific. Members of a network can now upload and share files and media content between themselves.
In the media files tab you can upload video, image and audio files that can be viewed by all those looking at the network. It can be a place for sharing information between one another through social media.
In the files repository network member can upload files to Loopthing that will then be available for all members to download and view on their own computer.
We hope you like the new feel of the site and can’t wait to see how people take to the new features.
